浦项市拥有浦项工科大学、第四代放射光加速器等二次电池专门研究基础设施。

为了建立二次电池产业生态系统,正在集中培养新一代电池再利用特区及国家尖端战略产业二次电池特殊化园区等全方位行政力量。

Pohang is the largest anode material production city in Korea.

The goal is to produce 1 million tons of anode materials annually by 2030.

Pohang is the only city in the world that produces both anode and cathode materials.

It has established a full-cycle industrial ecosystem of secondary battery materials and is emerging as the largest production base of secondary battery materials, led by leading companies such as EcoPro and POSCO FutureM.

Pohang City has a research infrastructure specializing in secondary batteries such as Pohang University of Science and Technology and 4th-generation radiation accelerators.

In order to create an ecosystem for the secondary battery industry, all-round administrative capabilities such as a special zone for next-generation battery recycling and a specialized secondary battery complex, a state-of-the-art strategic industry are being intensively fostered.
